The City View Community Association has been notified that the City of Ottawa has received a development application for the grounds at 21 Withrow. Here is a direct link to the plans on the City of Ottawa’s web site:
In summary, there would be 4 houses with 50′ lots on Withrow, and 10 houses (including the existing heritage home) on a new private drive, with lots that are significantly smaller. It appears that all trees would be cut except those on St. Helen’s Place at the entrance to the new private drive. The city is currently accepting comments on this plan. You may also provide your input through a survey that the City View Community Association has set up at the link below. This survey is designed to collect opinions of residents that could be used by the Association in our efforts to represent a consensus of the wishes of the neighborhood. The results of the survey will be presented to council, and (potentially) could be used to determine the need for an appeal to the Ontario Municipal Board.
