As part of the City’s Transportation Master Plan (TMP), the City is looking for your input/feedback on two parts of this project. The deadline for both parts has been extended to February 18, 2022: Transportation Master Plan Update | Engage Ottawa
Part 1 – Maps of Ottawa show the projects for pedestrians and cyclists that are proposed for implementation from 2023 onwards. You can use the online engagement tools to provide your comments. It should be noted that the only project proposed for City View is a sidewalk along Withrow Avenue, between Merivale Road & Meadowlands. The CVCA encourages all of you to make comments, as this is one of the few ways that our community’s needs can be heard. Some suggestions of missing links that need to be considered: an extension of the Cordova sidewalk to join with Withrow. Also, the completion of the pathway behind the Merivale commercial properties (between Meadowlands and Baseline Road} as noted in the Merivale Road Secondary Plan, a multi-use pathway along the hydro corridor on Bassano Road, and all-season walkways to link our community to access Algonquin College, College Square and Baseline Station.
Part 2 – The City is also requesting your input on a 142 page document on some 70 proposed transportation-related policies for the Transportation Master Plan. Have your say!!
The City is also holding a virtual Open House on the TMP Feb. 15 at 6:30.
