A number of new applications for infills are scheduled to be heard at up-coming Committee of Adjustment hearings. The CVCA continues to comment at these hearings to express concerns on the loss of neighbourhood character, and the effects these infills have on our streetscape, infrastructure, drainage and loss of tree canopy.
On April 6, an application for Minor Variances at 11 Tower Road was heard to permit a reduced lot area, lot width and corner yard setback, and for the construction of two new detached dwellings.
The City View Community Association along with neighbours have filed an appeal with the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) for the proposed development at 2 David Drive.
The CVCA represented the community at the all day OLT hearing on April 4, for 70 Granton Ave, an application that was denied by the CofA and subsequently appealed. We will circulate the decision once it is released.
