The City View Community Association (CVCA) works for the betterment of our community. Along with our day-to-day activities, below are brief descriptions of initiatives and projects that we are currently focused on. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us.

The second draft of the New Zoning By-laws was released on March 20, 2025. Have your say!

Traffic Calming
A major focus is a revitalized traffic calming plan that is reflective of City View and Ryan Farm’s growth and location. We are currently working on a new plan for 2025 with the Councillor’s Office and the City. We are asking residents to share thoughts, ideas and concerns by completing our online form.
Safety Campaign
As a community, we need to do our own individual parts to Help Keep City View and Ryan Farm Safe. Throughout the summer, we’ll be sharing a series of awareness communications as well as handing out posters and signs while stressing the importance of reporting. We hope our efforts will add greater support to our asks from the City.
Revitalized Constitution & bylaws
The CVRF constitution and bylaws have been redeveloped and received official approval at the 2024 Annual General Meeting
Local Business engagement
A local business directory is currently in development as well as a CVRF sponsorship package which will promote local businesses while providing much needed support to the community
Brand Refresh
You may have noticed that we look a bit different. To usher in the new era of City View and Ryan Farm we underwent a brand refresh in February 2021. This included creating a new logo, website and e-bulletin newsletter. We have recently welcomed Ryan Farm to the association. Therefore. we have added Ryan Farm into our branding, we are working towards a complete inclusion. The logo has been updated. If we missed anything please let us know.
Community Secondary Plan
It was brought to light during the City’s Official Plan process in early 2021 that City View and Ryan Farm do not have a secondary plan. We are currently working on creating one with the City. Although our plan seems to have hit a wall, there is news that a new Algonquin Station Hub Plan as well as Baseline Rd and a Merivale Rd Plans are in the preliminary stages and we should hear more throughout the summer.
Membership drive
We are working hard at improving our communications and the ways we serve the community in hopes to increase our membership and to encourage membership renewal.
